It’s official! The Grand Opening of Lewiston’s first dog park is set for Saturday, August 13, 2016, from 11a-1p. There will be a ribbon cutting, hot dog vendor (no disrespect meant to the dachsund population) and other dog-friendly vendors. Come on out, bring your furry friends and enjoy this new, amazing place!
The official groundbreaking of Penny’s Memorial Dog Park happened on Wednesday, November 5, 2015. In attendance was Lewiston City Manager Jim Bennett, along with his wife and two standard poodles, Councilmen Ged Randall and Bob Blakey, members of the Dog Park advisory committee and many members of the community. This is a banner day for Lewiston. “We’re all looking forward to spring of 2016, when we’ll hold another celebration, to open Penny’s Memorial Dog Park, so we can let our dogs loose and let them run free,” says Bennett.
Celebrate the opening of Lewiston’s first dog park with Lewiston Parks and Recreation. The public is invited to Penny’s Memorial Dog Park Grand Opening Celebration at Clearwater Park on 3rd Ave N in Lewiston on Wednesday, November 4 at 3:30PM.
